“Following the sun, looking after the world” is the first in the history professional performance, which is based on the Khanty and Mansi peoples’ folklore which is performed by actors of the professional theatre. This is the performance with national music, dances and songs of ob-ugrs, who live on the north of Western Siberia.
The Khanti and Mansi peoples are peoples of forests and reindeer. Since olden days they were engaged in hunting and fishing. For all their life from birth to death they communicated with spirits and idols. What do the spirits answer? What do the idols send? Fish and animal, reindeer and bird. And they give children. A child is the highest gift of the idols. The bird of fortune brings a divine gift to those, who pray, wait and hope.
A man goes fishing, hunting and plays musical instruments. A woman keeps the fire, brings up children and dances. Everything in the world is sensible and harmonious. The circle of the life is over. The sacral tour through genetic memory of ancestors found its sense and reflected in the Universe. And everything will start again.
